  • Tirta Empul Temple

    One of the busiest water temples in Indonesia, Tirta Empul is a temple considered sacred by Balinese Hindu community. The temple has several holy springs which are said to have been created by The God Indra and believed to be blessed water that could purify those who bathe there. 

    Tirta Empul is dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu God of water. In the Balinese language, Tirta Empul loosely translated means water gushing from the earth, which for this reason Tirta Empul is regarded as a holy spring. The Tirta Empul Temple includes shrines to Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, as well as one for Indra and Mount Batur. It is considered one of the five most holy temples in all of Bali and is considered one of the holiest water sources in Bali.

    Ulun Danu Temple

    Pura Ulun Danu was built in adoration of the Goddess Danu. Danu, in the Balinese tongue, means lake, while the goddess Danu is queen of water, lakes and rivers. The temple complex consists of four sacred buildings. Linga Pura stands three levels high, and is a place of worship to the god Shiva. Pura Puncak Mangu stands 11 levels high, and was built in dedication to the god Vishnu. PuraTeratai Bang is the main temple, and Pura Dalem Purwa is built in worship to Sang Hyang Widhi. This last temple is also a site for those who pray for fertility, prosperity and well-being

    Tanah Lot  Temple 

    In Balinese mythology, Dang Hyang Nirartha was known as a man of mighty supernatural power. So he moves the whole rock island to the sea, builds a temple and named it Tanah Lot. The whole Beraban village were astounded and later join to follow he believes. Tanah Lot temple was built to worship Bhatara Segara, or the sea God. To protect the temple, with his mighty power, he created a poisonous snake from his sash. The sea snake is believed to be living at the base of this rocky island, to guard the temple from evil intruders.

    The rituals usually takes place near the Galungan and Kuningan festivities on the holy day known as Buddha Cemeng Langkir. On this day you will see rows of Balinese women gracefully carrying offerings on their head to pray at the temple of Tanah Lot. 

    Besakih Temple 

    Bali Besakih Temple is the biggest Hindu temple in Bali which the local people call Pura Besakih. It owns beautiful view from the top of temple area where we can see the wide nature panorama until to the ocean so that way this temple is many visited by tourists from all over the world.

    LEMPUYANG TEMPLE

    Lempuyang temple is Hindu holy temple dedicated to worship Ida Sang Hyang Widi Wasa which manifests as the god Icwara, located in the top of Bisbis Hill in the east of Bali islands, from here can see the amazing view of the biggest mount agung in Bali. The temple most know by tourist with name Gate of Heaven Lempuyang temple. Lempuyang temple located in East Bali islands at Karangasem city, sub-district Abang, Tribuana village. Situated in the top of Bisbis Hill, the temple facing to the mount agung, from this temple you can see the amazing view of mount agung. The temple is a holy place for worship Ida Sanghyang Widhi Wasa in its manifestation as Icwara. This temple has status as one of the “Sad Kahyangan Jagad” so that it is clear that this temple is a sanctuary of the universe located in the east of the island of Bali. Thus viewed in terms of location, it can be explained that the function of this temple as a symbol to maintain the balance of the universe.
