First we will visit GWK, one of Indonesia’s foremost modern sculptor, designed and built by Nyoman Nuarta. It’s situated on a limestone escarpment overlooking the South Bali tourist region. Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park showcases the art and culture of the Island of the Gods amid dramatic natural backdrops and breathtaking panoramic vistas. GWK is one of the island’s premier venues for artistic performances, exhibitions and conferences as well as for sightseeing and relaxation. The cultural park provides attractions for both local and foreign visitors with supporting facilities such as Lotus Pond, Festival Park, Amphitheater, Street Theater, Exhibition Hall, as well as Jendela Bali, The Panoramic Resto and a souvenir shop. GWK Cultural Park is intended to educate, especially the young generations about the importance of preserving and cultivating world’s cultural heritage.
Next visit is to the Uluwatu Temple, a Hindu temple set on the cliff bank in the south part of Bali, Peninsula. The temple is situated on the coral reef sordid to sea about 80 meters above the sea level, featured by a small dry forest which is called Alas Kekeran (interdict forest). It belongs to the temple and is dwelt by a lot of monkeys and other animals.
